  1. Very informative. Just want to ask at what time we should take omega 3 / krill supplement and what should be the quantity?

  2. This is amazing detail and insight. Especially the Krill oil was an eye opener.

  3. Hiii, Akash
Thx for wonderful information..i live in India & consume salmon fish oil capsules. So shall i switch to krill oil ?? Also it would be nice if u can recommend me authentic krill oil supplement available in india.
    Thx, again

  4. If someone who has stones in gallbladder. Can they consume omega 3 capsules?

  5. Hi Akash,
Thanks so much for generously sharing these important details on OMEGA 3 fatty acid intake which is such a vital element for proper functioning of our body and the brain.

    Humble cheers.

  6. Hi Deepa, thanks! It’s best to take it after your breakfast. The quantity can be as instructed on the bottle. Up to 1mg (EPA &DHA) can suffice.

  7. Hello Pinky. I have not done an in-depth comparison of Salmon Oil Vs Krill Oil, however, I am sure Salmon Oil is ok too. In the end, what really matters is how potent the supplement brand really is. The supplement industry is a huge business with a lot of hype marketing and little science. Finding a good brand is like finding a needle in the haystack. I can only recommend something which I have been using for years, and that is Dr. Mercola’s Krill oil. I am not sure about any Indian products. Why don’t you do the research and let me know your top choices, I’ll take a look and guide you.

  8. No idea Suchit. I am not a doctor and cannot guide you about this. Get in touch with your doctor regarding this!

  9. What about the Omega 3 found in extra virgin Sacha Inchi oil derived from cold-pressed sacha inchi seeds taken from highland grown sacha inchi plants? Are they better than Omega 3 derived from fishes?

  10. Hello Lam. This is the first time I heard about Sacha Inchi! I am really not sure about this!

  11. Very nice best knowledge about omga 3
Kindly suggest more vegetarian sources of omega 3/6

  12. People say one should not have Omega 3 capsules in summers…..is it true? If consumed in summers, Is it required everyday for vegetarians or one should have gap in between say take it for 10 days n stop n again start it?
I am really confused on this please guide.
    Thanks.

  13. Hi Nidhi,

Don’t always believe what people tell you 🙂

It is best to conduct a research whenever a question pops up in your mind.

All fats whether from oils, nuts, seeds, avocados, fatty fish are capable of maintaining heat in the body.

However, it does not mean that we do not need them in summers. There is a daily requirement for them and one can gradually get used to them.

I have personally been eating walnuts and almonds without soaking them for years now and my body is fine with it.

Take your time, do your research and let your body have what it needs. Good luck!
